Egypt Sherrod just dropped some new details about her and her husband Mike Jackson‘s upcoming TV return.
The couple’s HGTV series, Married to Real Estate, was one of several home renovation shows canceled by the network last year, including Bargain Block, Izzy Does It, Farmhouse Fixer, Christina on the Coast, and The Flipping El Moussas.
Last month, Sherrod revealed in an interview with USA Today that the duo had two new shows in the works, titled Home Abroad With Egypt and Mike and Deserving Design. “These shows reflect all the things that are important to us,” she shared. “For those who have watched us for years, they know we believe in giving back and paying it forward. That is what we are passionate about. At the core, these projects speak to our desire to help people, to build legacy, and to use real estate and design to build impact.”
In a new interview with OK! Magazine published on Wednesday, May 27, Sherrod shared exciting details about each of the series. “One show is called Home Abroad,” she told the outlet. So, I’ve been traveling around, and you’ll obviously find out more about that soon, but it’s been amazing. It’s been great to travel with my husband, see the world, and still do what we love.”
She went on to tease, “We’re in production for Married to Real Estate. I’m very excited about that.” Sherrod did not confirm whether the series had officially been revived or whether she and Jackson are continuing Married to Real Estate in a new format. (Sherrod revealed to People in October 2025 that she owns the Married to Real Estate trademark.)

According to Sherrod, Home Abroad will see her and Jackson travel to various locations around the globe. “We’re headed to Vietnam in about three weeks. We’re going to be there for a little bit,” she told the outlet. “With this new show, we get to travel to so many different countries, and I’m really excited about it. We also did Spain, Panama, and Oaxaca, Mexico.”
She continued, “Mike is extremely adventurous. I’m the artsy person. I always want to see the architecture, and how people live, and how much the houses cost. And he’s like, ‘Stop working. We’re getting on the boat. We’re going fishing. We’re getting on the jet ski.’ So he pushes me to do things that usually I’d be like, ‘No, y’all go ahead.'”
Teasing the adventures they’ve had so far, Sherrod shared, “We’ve done ATVs through the jungle, horseback riding through the ocean, where you think you’re gonna fall off, and the horse keeps going. We’ve zip-lined all through the mountains. We’ve kind of done it all at this point — not by choice for me most of the time. We jumped in a cenote, and I was clinging to the rocks like, ‘How do I get out?’ But then you look back at the pictures and memories, and you’re so glad you did it.”
Sherrod did not share release dates for the new shows or whether or not the series will air on HGTV.
