Beef Season 2 is officially in sight as Netflix unveils the premiere date for the long-awaited next chapter of Lee Sung Jin‘s A24 drama, which was originally led by Steven Yeun and Ali Wong.

Along with confirming Season 2’s casting and creatives, Netflix shared details about the premiere date and plot in the latest release for the streamer’s 2026 What’s Next? presentation. Below, we’re breaking down everything you need to know about Beef Season 2 so far. Scroll down for a closer look and stay tuned for additional details in the weeks ahead.

When does Beef Season 2 premiere?

Beef Season 2 will premiere on Thursday, April 16, on Netflix, making way for the show’s long-overdue return. Season 1 originally dropped three years prior in April 2023.

Who stars in Beef Season 2?

Beef Season 2 stars Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Charles Melton, Cailee Spaeny, Seoyeon Jang, Youn Yuh-jung, Song Kang-Ho, William Fichtner, Mikaela Hoover, and K-Pop star BM. Fans may recall that during the casting process back in 2024, it was rumored that Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal were being considered as possible leads before it was confirmed that Isaac and Mulligan would fill the roles.

What will Beef Season 2 be about?

Here’s the official description for the new season: “A young couple witnesses an alarming fight between their boss and his wife, triggering chess moves of favors and coercion in the elitist world of a country club and its Korean billionaire owner.”

Melton and Spaeny are the younger couple, with Isaac and Mulligan as the boss and his wife. Season 1 stars Ali Wong and Steven Yeun will serve as executive producers, but it’s not clear at this time if the actors — who each won Emmys for their performances in Season 1 — will be seen in Season 2. Since it’s an anthology series, their onscreen returns are unlikely, but not impossible.  Season 1 focused on the feud between Wong’s Amy and Yeun’s Danny, two individuals who become entwined after a road rage incident. Season 2 is going to shift focus from Amy and Danny to two feuding couples.

When asked about the show’s future at the Emmys, Jin said, “It could stay limited — it was a very close-ended story for sure.” With that in mind, “If Netflix wanted to continue, it could also be anthology. It could be many things. It’s up to the great algorithm. We’re all waiting to hear.”

Who made Beef Season 2?

Beef Season 2 is created by showrunner Lee Sung Jin, who executive produces the show alongside Lee Sung Jin, Jake Schreier, Steven Yeun, Ali Wong, Carey Mulligan, Oscar Isaac, Charles Melton, and Cailee Spaeny. The series hails from A24’s studio.
