GILFORD — Led by five seniors, all of whom started Monday night, Gilford romped to a 76-40 victory over winless Newfound.
All five seniors scored, with David Hart leading the way with 21 points, five assists and four steals. Nate Hudson had 11 points, four assists and four steals, and Jonathan Nelson scored nine pints. Chris Remick had four points, and Logan Bell scored two while pulling down four rebounds.
Greg Madore, a junior, contributed 17 points to the  cause.
Gilford is on a hot streak recently, winning its last six games while outscoring opponents by an average of more than 20 points per game. In mid-January the Golden Eagles ended top-ranked Somersworth’s eight-game winning streak with a 62-53 victory.
The  Monday night win put Gilford in sixth place in the Division III standings, with a 13-4 record. They close out their regular season Friday with a game at White Mountains Regional (10-6) in Whitefield.
Somersworth 69, Belmont 54
Top-ranked Somersworth (15-2) outlasted the Red Raiders (10-7). The winners took a 12-point lead at the end of the first half and fended off a Raiders comeback which saw Belmont close the gap to five several times.
Matt Pluskis had 26 points, five rebounds and four  assists for Belmont. Dylan Gansert had 12 points, while Matt Thurber picked up 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Evan Gray led Somersworth with 26 points, and Bryton Early added 19.
Belmont closes out its regular season Wednesday with a 6:30 game at Newfound (0-17).
