NEW HAMPTON — Samuel "Sam" John Boyd, 62, of Pinnacle Hill Road, passed away June 11, 2024, at home.
Samuel was born Oct. 18, 1961, the son of Ellen (Richardson) Plourde.
He worked as a direct support professional for Lakes Region Community Services where he supported people with disabilities for 40 years.
He leaves behind his wife, Melinda L. Boyd and David Hancock of New Hampton; a brother, Bryan Boyd and his wife, Eileen, of Rochester; a sister, Nancy Snow and her husband, Matthew, of Belmont; several nieces and nephews; and many good friends. He was predeceased by his mother Ellen Plourde and grandparents Samuel and Ruth Richardson and Harold Voelbel.
Instead of services, Sam would like to be remembered when you find yourself doing something he enjoyed: Playing poker. Got a good hand? Bet and raise. Attending a yard sale? Get a good deal. Enjoy Bike Week. Eat Chinese food whenever you can. Think of him then. Remember him well.
