LACONIA — Ronald “Ron” Irving Sibley, 82, of Ledges Drive, passed away on Dec. 24, 2025, at the Taylor Retirement Community in Laconia, after a years-long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Ron was born on July 22, 1943, in Woburn, Massachusetts, the son of the late Irving C. Sibley and Dorothy K. (née Seisig) Sibley.
Ron, a proud husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, and great-grandfather, spent his life serving his community, traveling the world with his wife, Eleesa, and making memories with his friends and family.
Ron grew up in Melrose, Massachusetts, and had a lifelong love of music and sports, especially football and skiing. He spent over 30 years singing in the Pemigewasset Choral Society, was the executive director of the NH Music Festival, and traveled with The Independent Community Bankers’ Association. Ron spent his career in banking and was also a certified public accountant who helped countless members of the Plymouth community with their tax preparation. After receiving advanced degrees in business from the University of New Hampshire and Suffolk University, he proudly chartered the Community Guaranty Savings Bank of Plymouth, where he genuinely loved, respected and appreciated every colleague and member of his staff. A respected leader serving on many boards, he used his education and his devotion to his community and family, to enhance the lives of everyone around him.
The impact of his legacy will be felt for years to come, his absence mourned, and his life celebrated. May he rest in peace reunited with his daughter, Laurie.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Eleesa P. Sibley; son James R. Sibley (Sharon); stepdaughter Danyelle Mottram (Eric); sister Margaret A. Butt; grandchildren Katelyne J. Sibley, Sarah A. Solinsky (Tyler), and Alexis P. Mottram; and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Ron is predeceased by his daughter, Laurie J. Sibley, and his sister, Margery J. Bergan.
There are no calling hours scheduled at this time. Services and burial to be held at a later date.
