LACONIA — Priscilla A. Flanders, 65, of 765 Union Avenue, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Monday, October 20, 2003.

Mrs. Flanders was born November 9, 1937 in Laconia, the daughter of Ralph E. and Annie I. (Hamilton) Wilcox.

Mrs. Flanders was raised in Portsmouth, and lived there for twenty years. She later lived in North Woodstock, Lincoln, Manchester, and Deering, before moving to Laconia in 2001.

Mrs. Flanders was a member of the Eagle Club in Manchester, and was a lifetime member and a Director of the Auxiliary of The Alpine Club in Manchester.

Survivors include a daughter, Faith A. Godfrey of Conyers, Georgia; a son, George W. Cookinham of Manchester; one grandchild, Tyluer Cookinham of Manchester; two step-granddaughters, Rebecca Clem of Manchester, and Katie Godfrey of Goffstown; a step-grandson, Jonathan Godfrey of Goffstown; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a son, Scott M. Flanders, in 1987; a grandson, Joshua Cookinham in 1988; and by her seven siblings, Mable Barnes, Frederick Wilcox, Edward Wilcox, Louise Patch, Elizabeth Poole, Beverly Varrell and Dewey Wilcox.

A calling hour will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2003 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia. A Memorial Service will follow the calling hour at 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral Home. Rev. Dr. Victoria Wood Parrish, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in the family lot in Union Cemetery, Laconia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
