Peter Kent Weeks, 76, of Meredith, passed away at his home on Dec. 30, 2023.
He was born in Laconia, one of seven children to Chub (Hayden) and Christine Weeks.
Peter enjoyed a fulfilling career at NH Electric Co-op, starting in the early eighties and retiring in 2012 after 42 years.
Peter had a love for the outdoors. He loved both hunting and fishing. He was exceptionally skilled at ice fishing and woodworking. He took pride in making unique things for his close friends to enjoy.
Most who knew him know he had an incredible green thumb and could grow anything, regardless of the location. His garden had been famous locally for years. He was a gifted storyteller. Those who knew him will recall when he started a story with "Let me set the scene," you were in for a good one!
Peter is survived by his longtime companion Linda Weeks; two brothers, Jim Weeks, of Meredith, and Robert Weeks, of Plymouth; as well as his four children: Cheryl Bjork of Hurley, Wisconsin, Sandy Bedell of Grantham, Pete Weeks of Moultonborough, and Christine Weeks of Ashland. He also leaves behind five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Peter was preceded in death by his father, Chub (Hayden); his mother, Christine; his brothers, Hayden (Sonny) and Jack Weeks; and his sisters, MaryAnn Foster and Margie (Priscilla) Hoagland.
No service is planned at this time, as everyone who knows him knows he wouldn't want to make a fuss!
The Mayhew Funeral Homes and Crematorium in Meredith and Plymouth are honored to assist the Weeks family with their arrangements. To sign the book of memories, visit mayhewfuneralhomes.com.
