Peter C. Bixby, 75

LACONIA — Peter Charles Bixby, 75, of Scenic Road, passed away on March 21, 2025, at home surrounded by his loved ones. He had battled peritoneal mesothelioma for seven years.

Peter was born on Sept. 23, 1949, in Haverhill, Massachusetts, the son of the late Melville and Alice (Shea) Bixby.

He was a computer engineer for 40 years. He lived in Westborough, Massachusetts, until 2012, when he retired to Lake Winnipesaukee where he had summered with his family as a child. Pete loved being active. Over the years, he ran, biked, and since retiring became an avid pickleball player. Peter also enjoyed photography, reading and sailing.

Peter is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, June (Dorrio) Bixby; daughters Jacqueline Bixby and her wife Sharon, and Meredith Bixby and her husband Evan; a sister, Donna Jurka and her husband Valdis; his beloved grandchildren, Nathaniel, Josephine and Benjamin; and many nieces and nephews.

According to his wishes, there will be no services at this time. In the future, his family plans a celebration of life in Massachusetts.
