Mark Morrill passed away on Jan. 21, 2024, just shy of his 57th birthday, at Concord Hospital-Concord, after years of suffering from drug addiction. His liver was just not there anymore.

His last wishes were to make everyone know there is help out there, and you do not have to suffer with this. He wanted people to know it robbed him of family members who he loved and cared for. His wishes were that you live life to the fullest, without being an addict to anything.

He was sorry he could not have been better, he loved us all, but the horrible addiction was too much. It is a family curse, and sometimes, it is what it is.

He was a great lyric writer and belonged to bands such as L.A. East, Ready and Willing, Dark Iron and, most recently, Revelation Nation. He loved animals, sports and his beloved Jojo Ackerman and family, which he left behind in sorrow. He worked at Beede Electric, Shop 'n Save and many fast-food places just to support his addiction.

He was predeceased by his parents, Robert H. Morrill and Barbara Houston; his grampa Wayne Morrill; brothers Robert Blake, David Shock, Ernest Morrill (all lost to addiction); nephews John Shock, Jamie Blake and Corey Vachon, and niece Tracy Shock.

He is survived by his son, Josh Morrill; grandson, Nolan; brother, Glenn W. Morrill (Linda) of Hill; his sister, Lilly Cote (Leo H.) of Franklin; nieces and nephews; best friends Tom Danforth and Bill Mussey; his music manager Bobby Vachon; and his beloved Kitty.

A celebration of life will take place in May and the date will be announced.

I miss you, Mark. I have known you for 6 years. I only remember your love for God! You encouraged me even though you were going through some physical struggles. I have never seen you with drugs. I have only seen you as a loving person and always there to help others. I have seen the way you have loved and cherished your Jojo, partner for 16 years. I believe this is the man that we all love and miss so much.

This is the man I knew and loved to no fault. May you rest in peace in gods loving arms!

I'm so sorry to see that Mark has left us. He was my father's best friend and a major part of my young life. He was also just an all around sweet person. I'll be thinking about him and wishing him peace and an end to his struggles. My heart is with his family, I'm sorry for your loss. ♡
