BELMONT — Marguerite L. (Paquette) Ford, 84, passed away on Sept. 21, 2025, at Concord Hospital-Concord.
She was born Feb. 2, 1941, in Laconia, the daughter of Bertrand and Gabrielle (Belle-Isle) Paquette. Marguerite grew up in Laconia attending Sacred Heart School and graduating from Laconia High School. She was the devoted wife of Marshall Ford and gave birth to four children.
Marguerite was a superb cook and homemaker, and was proficient in many of the antique handcrafting skills: quilting, upholstering, wall stenciling floor cloths, and all manners of sewing. She spent many happy hours wrangling deals on eBay, and was an avid collector of Hull Pottery and Griswold cast iron pans. She spent many hours working alongside her husband Marshall as he went about the construction and sales of exquisite handmade Windsor chairs and Shaker furniture. She retired from the City of Laconia Tax Department in 1997.
Marguerite is survived by her husband Marshall; two daughters, Katherine Brisindine of Sanbornton and Wanda Cote and her husband of Goldsboro, Maine; brother Rene Paquette of South Carolina; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, daughter Leslie (Ford) Aselton, and son Kevin S. Ford.
