MEREDITH — Lois Sidney, 83, of Daniel Webster Highway, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on June 11, 2024.
Lois was born on April 28, 1941, in Vershire, Vermont, the daughter of Harry and Clara (Allen) Bliss.
She loved her family and spending time with them. She enjoyed camping with family and friends. She spent a lot of time at Circle 9 Ranch, Salisbury Beach and various campgrounds. She had a love for all animals. She enjoyed going to fairs and watching horse and ox pulling. She loved plants and flowers, her favorite being roses.
She worked at Amatex Asbestosis Mill in Meredith for over 20 years. She then worked at Annalee Dolls for over 17 years. She retired in 2000 to take care of her grandchildren.
Lois is survived by her loving husband of 53 years Irvin Sidney Sr., sons Kevin Bliss and Irvin Sidney Jr., daughters Susan Sidney and Linda O’Connor, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Lois is predeceased by her brother Kenneth Bliss and sisters Mary Claveau, Elizabeth Young, and her twin sisters who died at birth.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, June 21, in the Carriage House at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia.
