LACONIA — Kathalene Laura McKinnon Williams, age 67, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, March 1, 2014.
Born in Laconia, New Hampshire, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Stephen and Esther Louise Braley McKinnon. A graduate of Franklin Pierce University, Mrs. Williams was a social worker for over 30 years before retiring in 2012. Spending time with her family and friends was most important and she also loved to read, paint, travel, and the ocean. Mrs. Williams was a good Christian woman of the Baptist faith. She was a devoted mother and she will be missed.
Mrs. Williams is survived by a daughter, Deborah Williams Smith and husband Everett; three grandchildren, Tyler Hood, Ashley Hood, and Elizabeth Smith; two sisters, Janice Barrett and husband William and Sandralee McKinnon; a brother, Tony Perriault; two nephews, Michael Barrett and Joshua Andrews; a niece, Heather Ayres; and many friends.
A memorial service will be held by the family at their home.
