Joan M. Stevens, 79, of Northfield, passed away after a brief illness at Mountain Ridge Center on Oct. 12. She was born in Laconia on Nov. 3, 1943, the daughter of John and Anna (Barczak) Ouellette. Joan lived her life in the Northfield area.
Joan was employed at the Department of Motor Vehicles for many years. She loved to garden, her dogs and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at the holidays.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Stevens, of Tilton; her brother John Ouellette Jr. of Hooksett; and nieces Dianne Hopkins of Athens, Tennessee, Linda Lauderdale of Concord, Sally Ouellette of Concord, Shannon Adams of Mariaville, Maine, and her nephew Kevin Lehto of St. Joseph, Missouri.
She was predeceased by her parents and one sister, Patricia Lehto.
There are no planned services. Burial will be at the Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
