CONCORD — Two fugitives were apprehended by police agencies in recent weeks, according to a press release.
Adam C. Cummings, 46, previously featured as the New Hampshire Department of Corrections' Fugitive of the Week on July 16, 2025, has been apprehended, that agency said on Thursday.
Corrections officers received notification, on March 12, that the Campton Police Department had information that Cummings was en-route to the area. Police departments from Campton and Thornton coordinated a traffic stop and took Cummings into custody without incident. They found a firearm in the passenger seat glovebox.
Cummings is charged with felony possession of a firearm. He’s currently in custody at the Grafton County House of Corrections.
Additionally, Leland Petersen, 39, who was the featured fugitive on March 4, has been apprehended, according to NH DOC.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office received a tip from the Goffstown Police Department, on March 18, indicating Petersen was seen walking on Mast Road in Goffstown. Hillsborough deputies drove along the road, where they found Petersen. With assistance from Goffstown police, they confirmed his identity before placing him in custody, and bringing him to the Hillsborough County House of Corrections without incident.
“The Department of Corrections would like to thank the Campton, Thornton, and Goffstown Police Departments, as well as the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in apprehending these fugitives,” the release reads.
