Henry L. Drouin, 86
LACONIA — Henry Louis Drouin, 86, of 406 Court St., died on Friday, April 15, 2016, at the St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Laconia.
Henry was born on Sept. 27, 1929, in St. Philibert, Quebec, Canada, the son of Emil and Rose (Groleau) Drouin.
He worked as a machinist for Scott & Williams, and was a custodian for Laconia High School.
Henry enjoyed traveling with his family and spending time with his grandchildren. His love of gardening and woodworking gave him great joy and peace.
Henry is survived by a daughter, Monique Drouin Graves and her husband Ken of
Bedford; nine grandchildren, Daniel, Ashley, Nicholas, Alex, Joshua, Jenay, Marcus, Madison and Aidan; two brothers, John and Rock Drouin; two sisters, Emilette Beaudoin and Jeanne Dionne Lambert; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Henry was predeceased by wife, Solange M. "Sally" Drouin who died Jan. 2, 2016; and his son, Daniel J. Drouin Sr.; and by his brothers, Wilbrod, Claude and Benoit Drouin.
Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, April 21, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home,164 Pleasant St., Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 22, at 10 a.m. at St. Andre Bessette Parish-Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Ave. Laconia. Burial will follow in the family plot at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia.
