Born in 1966, to Susan and William Proctor of Conway, Louise died peacefully on Sept. 14, 2025.
She grew up in Conway, and graduated from Kennett High School. Then she attended the University of New Hampshire. Her study of horticulture became a large part of her life, leading to her love of flowers, particularly orchids, as well as gardening. Louise fondly remembered the time she spent in Mexico after high school, and Hawaii after college, where she worked at the National Tropical Botanical Garden.
Louise met her husband Sean Johnson in 1996, and felt an immediate attraction to him, and after a decade together, they decided to have kids and build a house together.
She cherished interacting with friends and family to bring people together, which included being passionate about playing cards, doing crossword puzzles, going on walks and hikes, and being with Narcotics Anonymous friends. For the last decade of her life, she was very involved with the Unitarian Universalist Church in Franklin, and had strong friendships within the congregation.
Louise is survived by her husband, her daughter Lily, her son Cole, all of Franklin; sister Ruth Proctor, aunt Alice Proctor, niece Samia, and nephew William of Conway.
A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Sant Bani Ashram in Sanbornton.
Contributions in her memory may be made to Sant Bani School, where her kids enjoyed a fantastic education.
