LACONIA — Hans Janke, 79, of Taylor Community, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017, at Lakes Region General Hospital with his loving wife by his side.

Hans was born in Germany, son to the late Willi and Henni (Goetz) Janke. He moved to the United States in 1958 to Long Island, New York, where he later met his wife. Hans then began his printing career at Alford Industries. Following his retirement in 2006, he and his wife moved to the Lakes Region.

Hans loved spending time on his pontoon boat on Lake Winnisquam with family and friends. He spent many summers relaxing on the lake. He also enjoyed volunteering at Lake Region General Hospital with his wife.

Hans is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Janet Janke of Laconia; son, Robert Janke of Florida; and daughter, Lynne Regino of Long Island, New York; 10 grandchildren; and a brother, Rainer Janke of Germany.

There will be no calling hours or funeral service.
