HERNDON, Virginia — Grant Rollins Sleeper, 55, died on June 26, 2010 of complications from a stroke. Grant was born February 11, 1955, in 
Fort Worth, Texas, the youngest son of Raymond Starrett Sleeper, Col. USAF, and Christine Fernald Sleeper.

 Grant graduated from Herndon High School in Herndon, Virginia, Class of 1973. He played basketball, ran track, and was an avid jazz fan. He summered with his family on Lake Winnipesaukee at Sleeper’s Point in Alton.


A Memorial Graveside Service will be held in Laconia at Bayside Cemetery on Saturday, July 3rd at 11 am. A Service of Remembrance will be held in Herndon, Virginia in August.



Grant is survived by his sister, Jane; his brothers, Tony, Jack, Tray and Harry; and his mother, Christine.



In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Grant’s name to ASPAN, the Arlington Street People’s Assistance Network ( www.a-span.org).
