LACONIA — Gail Murray, 82, of Academy Street, passed away on Jan. 17, 2024, at the Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord.

Gail was born on July 24, 1941, in Franklin, the daughter of Harry and Doris (Nowell) Varney.

She enjoyed reading, going to the ocean, holiday gatherings with her family, Jackie’s cake, and her world-famous mac and cheese.

Gail is survived by her son John Murray III; grandchildren, Kristin, Kayla, Michael and Sean; and great-grandchildren, Samantha, Giavonna, Amelia, Dominic, Brady, Connor and Rhiley. In addition to her parents, Gail is predeceased by her beloved husband John Murray II, her daughter Patti, granddaughter Jessica, grandson Nicholas, and all four of her sisters, Barbara, Jean, Dossie and Pat.

There will be no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, Jan. 22, at 10 a.m. at St. Andre Bessette Parish — Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Ave.

Burial will be held in the spring at Union Cemetery.
