GILFORD — Edward F. Lutz, 76, of Gilford, passed away on Friday, June 23.
Edward was born Feb. 10, 1947, to Edward Lutz Sr. and Evelyn (Cass) Lutz in Laconia.
After graduating from Ashland High School, he fought for his country in the Vietnam War. Upon his return, he followed many passions including working on a shrimp boat, carpentry, flooring and real-estate. He met his wife Lesley during Bike Week 1982 and they fell in love hard and fast. The couple were married the following year on May 28, 1983, and they began their family.
He was survived by his loving sister, Rosemary; brothers, Tracy and Jeff; and was very proud of his children, Edward Lutz III, Shannan Lutz, Sarah Lutz, Katherine Lutz, Danielle Lutz, Samantha Doucette, Joshua Lutz, Jennifer Lutz and Deirdre Lutz. He was adored by all of his sons and daughters-in-laws, as well as the many many grandchildren they gave him.
He lived his life for his family and instilled the importance of a strong family bond on us all. The world will never be the same without his words of wisdom and his never-ending story telling.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 23, from noon to 4 p.m., at the Tardiff Park Clubhouse.
