Clematis B. Pickard, 73, of 765 Union Avenue, Lakes Village Apartments in Lakeport died at her brother's home in Belmont, Sunday, June 10, 2007 following a period of failing health. She was born in Belmont, March 29, 1934. She spent her youth and grew up in Canterbury and lived in Laconia for many years. She was a loving mother and homemaker. She loved everyone unconditionally. She was a member of the Lakes Village Ladies Bible Study in Lakeport. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter "John" H. Pickard, sons, Johnathon, Diamond and Raymond Pickard and brother Joseph Elliott and his wife Doris Cole Elliott.
Her family includes sons: Clifford Pickard of Belmont, Jesse Pickard of Franklin; daughter: Heidi (Pickard) Reed of Laconia; several grand and great grandchildren; her mother: Teresa M. (Lawrence) Phillips of Belmont; brothers: Benjamin and wife Juanita Elliott of Loudon, Lamont and wife Eugenia Clark of Belmont; sisters: Ella Bailey of Belmont, Norrine Derusha of Laconia; daughters in law: Holly (Bentley) Pickard of Franklin, Deborah (Pickard) Landers of Sorrento, Fla.; nieces and nephews.
A graveside service and celebration of Clematis's life will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery, Baptist Road in Canterbury. The celebration will be led by her sister in law, Eugenia Clark.
The William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home of Tilton is assisting with arrangements.
