GILFORD — Catherine “Katy” Danza, 80, of 15 Bacon Drive, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Monday, September 5, 2005, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 21, 1925 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Stephen and Julia (Tarallo) Danza. She had been a resident of Gilford for the last 15 years coming from Sarasota, Florida.

Katy was an accomplished Interior Designer of homes and gardens and after retiring, studied to become a CNA and a Certified Nutritional Consultant. She was a woman who found beauty in all of God’s creation and an avid gardener who loved surrounding herself with beautiful flowers. One of her greatest pleasures was to prepare delicious Italian food for everyone, especially her family.

Survivors include three daughters, Adrianne Lahar of Roanoke, Virginia, Diane DeHaan of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Cathy Korber of Gilford; two sons, Jack Seib, of Dallas, Texas and Bill Seib, of Oakdale, Connecticut; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; a brother, Robbie Danza of Cherry Hill, New Jersey; and many nieces and nephews.

Katy was a woman of great faith who looked forward to being reunited with those who passed before her. She was welcomed into Heaven by her two sisters, Millicent and Catherine and her four brothers, Tommy, Vinnie, Rudy and Joey.

There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the South Baptist Church, 85 Court Street, Laconia. Rev. Barry Armitage, Pastor of the church, will officiate.
