Carolyn 'Cubby' Albison, 81

MEREDITH — Carolyn 'Cubby' Albison, 81, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Goldenview Healthcare Center in Meredith.

Cubby was born on December 14, 1940 in Pierre, SD, the daughter of Stanley and Frances (Smith) Whitman.

Cubby would be described as having a warm, caring, and gentle spirit. She loved any and all time spent with her family. She was a passionate Title One teacher helping and advocating for students in the Laconia School District for over 20 years. This is also where fellow coworkers became such near and dear lifelong friends. A tight circle of friends brought a lifetime of love, laughter, and caring, for that she was ever so grateful.

A crafter by nature, she enjoyed all things DIY, such as needlepoint, sewing, stamping, card making, and art projects. She loved to share her fondness for crafting with her children, grandchildren, and close friends. She will be greatly missed by all.

Cubby is survived by her son, Bradley Albison; her daughter, Kerry Moore and her husband Dana; four grandchildren, Alexcia Smith, Hunter Moore, Austin Moore, and Keagan Moore; her sister, Portia Licht and her husband Gordon; and her brother, Bart Whitman and his wife Barbara. In addition to her parents, Cubby was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Albison, Jr.

Burial will be held in the spring at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia.

For those who wish, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the New Hampshire Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia, NH, 03247.
