LACONIA — Beverly A. (née Phipps) Kibby, formerly of Bow, passed away peacefully on Oct. 21, 2026, at The Taylor Community in Laconia, surrounded by the love of family and friends.

Beverly was born in Hartford, Connecticut, on April 4, 1936, to the late Evelyn Levensaler Phipps and Raymond “Terry” Phipps, and was raised in both Connecticut and Waldoboro, Maine. In Waldoboro, she grew up with her cousins David and Sylvia and graduated from Medomak Valley High School in Waldoboro, in 1954. After high school, Bev continued her education at the Maine Medical Center School of Nursing in Portland, Maine, where she earned her registered nurse designation.

Bev spent her 48-year career as a nurse caring for others, in all areas of the field. Most notably in New Hampshire, she worked for Concord Visiting Nurses, then as a school nurse for Bow Elementary. She concluded her nursing career in 2005 after working 20+ years at Concord Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Outside of work and enjoying her friends and family, especially being Nana to her grandchildren, Bev enjoyed taking care of her extensive flower gardens, which delighted neighbors and passersby. She also enjoyed reading and loved music, especially show tunes and piano concertos. She took pleasure in traveling, including trips to Europe, Alaska and throughout the U.S. seeing the sights and visiting friends and family.

Beverly is survived by her son, Scott Kibby (Amanda) of Chelmsford, Massachusetts; her daughter, Susan Kibby of Belmont; her beloved twin grandchildren Blake and Evan Kibby; and her former husband Jim Kibby of Manchester. She is also survived by many beloved cousins and lifelong friends she considered family.

A celebration of life will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15, at the Old Town Hall, 91 Bow Center Road, Bow. All are welcome to join us as we share love, stories and laughs commemorating Beverly.

In lieu of flowers, please support causes dear to her: the Taylor Home Residents — Sunshine Fund, c/o Taylor Community, 435 Union Ave., Laconia, NH 03246, or Granite VNA, 30 Pillsbury St., Concord, NH 03301.
