GILMANTON — Beatrice "Auntie Bea" (Sibley) McClary, 94, of 25 Canaan Road, Gilmanton, passed peacefully and joined her husband, "Stevie," on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014.

Mrs. McClary was born March 24, 1920, in Sanbornville, the daughter of the late Ernest R. and Ethel N. (Richards) Sibley. She resided in Pittsfield for 16 years before moving to Gilmanton in 1970. In recent years, she and her late husband, Steve, had resided with her niece, Brenda Currier and her husband, Brett. She spent winters in St. Petersburg and Seminole, Fla.

During World War II, she had been employed at Scott & Williams and Gilbert Clock. She was a member of the Gilmanton Congregational Church, was a member of the Pleides Chapter 41 of the Eastern Star of Pittsfield and was a member of the Gilmanton Women's Club. She enjoyed camping, oil painting, quilting, handiwork and working in her flower garden.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. McClary was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Harold "Steve" J. McClary, Feb. 13, 2013; and by one brother and four sisters.

There will be no calling hours.

A combined graveside service for Mrs. McClary and for her husband, Harold "Steve" J. McClary, will be held on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, at 1 p.m. at the family lot in Smith Meeting House Cemetery, Gilmanton. Pastor Chris Stevens, Pastor of the Gilmanton Community Church, will officiate.
