MOULTONBOROUGH —  The Moultonborough Public Library will host Cuban-American author Ana Hebra Flaster on Wednesday, June 26, 6 p.m. Flaster will discuss her memoir, “Property of the Revolution: From a Cuban Barrio to a New Hampshire Mill Town,” recently recognized with the 2025 IndieReaders Discovery Award for Non-Fiction.

Flaster’s memoir chronicles her family’s escape from Cuba when she was just six years old, forced to flee due to their opposition to the newly established communist regime. The book vividly portrays their journey to the U.S. and their subsequent assimilation into life in Nashua. Readers will find resonant themes of familial love, belonging, and identity woven throughout the narrative of their struggle to leave Cuba and forge a new life in New Hampshire.

Copies of “Property of the Revolution” will be available for purchase at the event. Additionally, Moultonborough Public Library resident cardholders can access the e-book through the library’s Hoopla account.
