CONCORD — Granite VNA is accepting nominations for the annual Kay Sidway Award.
Now in its 27th year, the award is named for long-time Concord-area educator Kay Sidway, honoring her endless love and commitment to children and families in the community.
Granite VNA Nurse Jamye Cutter was honored last year, and other past honorees include late New Hampshire State Representative Mary Stuart Gile, the Honorable Kathleen McGuire, NH Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence Director of Public Affairs and Concord City Councilwoman Amanda Grady Sexton, and Bow School District social worker Pauline Laliberte, among others.
To be eligible for nomination, individuals must live or work in one of the 72 communities Granite VNA serves, and meet the following criteria:
• Lead by example in working to improve the quality of life for fellow citizens;
• Demonstrate a concern for the health and wellbeing of all community members;
• Make a meaningful difference for children and families residing in the Greater Concord-area and the Lakes Region;
• Demonstrate a commitment to the education, nurture and wellbeing of families; and
• Collaborate with local agencies to identify needs that, when addressed, strengthen families in our community.
Nominations must include the nominee’s name and, if applicable, their organization and position or title. Submissions must also include a narrative describing how the nominee meets the award criteria.
Nominations are being accepted through Sunday, Feb. 15.
