CONCORD — Granite VNA has promoted two leaders to expanded roles. Jennifer Brechtel has been promoted to director of community engagement and Brittany Cumba has been promoted to manager of quality. Brechtel previously held the role of director of community health and Cumba served as clinical staff educator.

In her new role, Brechtel will be responsible for enhancing and expanding Granite VNA’s presence and partnerships throughout the 72 communities it serves. She will work closely with Granite VNA Chief Strategy Officer Julie Stone to drive business growth through strategic initiatives and advance community health by developing long-term wellness programs.

“Having worked closely with Jen for some time, I have the utmost confidence in her ability to lead our activity in the community, maintain our current relationships, and continue to forge new ones cementing our strong reputation across the state,” said Stone. “Her deep knowledge of and relationships within the communities we serve make her an excellent fit for this role. I look forward to further collaboration with her in this new role as we continue to set the agency up for long-term health and success.”

Brechtel joined Granite VNA in 2007 as community liaison and was promoted to director of community health in 2022. She holds a bachelor of science degree from Plymouth State University.

In Cumba’s new role, she will be responsible for overseeing Granite VNA’s quality improvement program and identifying, recommending and developing initiatives to ensure the agency consistently meets the highest standards of care. She will also support the development, implementation and sustainability of specialty clinical projects.

“This is a well-deserved opportunity for Brittany, and goes to show how hard work and commitment can be rewarded,” said Stone. “Our people are the backbone of our agency, and providing opportunities for personal and professional growth is key to ensuring continuity of care for those we serve and long-term sustainability for Granite VNA.”

Cumba is a 2023 graduate of Granite VNA’s Leadership Development Program.

Prior to joining Granite VNA in 2017 as a staff physical therapist, Cumba was a physical therapist at Swing for the Stars Pediatric Therapy Center and at RiverRidge Center for Neurorehabilitation. She currently serves as an adjunct faculty member for the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Franklin Pierce University in Manchester.
