NEW LONDON — ClearChoiceMD Urgent Care is now offering COVID-19 testing at select centers for high-risk patients, as supplies are available. Patients experiencing symptoms associated with lower respiratory illness, such as fever, shortness of breath, and persistent cough, will be examined and evaluated by the medical team to rule out seasonal flu. If the test is negative, testing for COVID-19 may be recommended. Due to national shortages in testing supplies, only high-risk patients will be recommended to be tested. Low-risk patients who have mild symptoms and test negative for the flu will be directed to self-quarantine for 14 days, per CDC guidelines.

ClearChoiceMD Urgent Care centers are following strict protocols and taking extra safety measures to protect patients, communities, and teams so they may continue to evaluate and treat medical needs. ClearChoiceMD will soon be implementing online registration at all centers to minimize possibility of exposure. Patients seeking care for all other urgent, non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries can continue to be seen at any ClearChoiceMD location.

Visit CDC.gov/COVID19 for current information from the CDC on COVID-19. Visit ccmdcenters.com for information regarding center operating hours and testing locations.
