Lea and Doug Klock, owners of Your Neighborhood Florist at 1047 Union Avenue, will being holding an Ppen House from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 4.
The Klocks purchased the business in May from Mark and Karmen Gifford, who had moved the store to Union Avenue from its previous location in Lakeport.
Your Neighborhood Florist specializes in everyday floral needs, including funerals and weddings. They also provide tailor made fruit and gourmet gift baskets at $20 and up. The shop stocks Lillipop Tree specialty bread and scone mixes, jellies and jams, stuffed animals, decorative vases and even fresh, dried and silk flowers.
The restored Victorian house in which the business is located overlooks Paugus Bay. "Our delivery area is Laconia, Gilford, Meredith, Alton, Belmont, Winnisquam, Sanbornton, Franklin, Tilton and Gilmanton," Lea Klock noted.
A gourmet basket and a silk and fresh flower arrangement will be raffled off at the Open House, which will also feature a 20 percent-off storewide sale. Refreshments will be served.
Normal business hours at Your Neighborhood Florist are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. For more information or to order flowers call 524-3106.
