Will 2008 be the year your small business booms? MicroCredit-NH can help make it happen. It is a non-profit business development program available to self-employed individuals and small business owners working or living in New Hampshire. A free orientation about the program will be held in Meredith on Wednesday, Feb. 6 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Meredith Public Library.

The orientation will provide information about MicroCredit-NH’s resources, which include business skill training, loan capital up to $15,000, the Individual Development Account (IDA) matched savings program and networking opportunities. MicroCredit-NH is designed for both start-up and experienced business owners, and delivers its services statewide through local business groups. Orientation participants will also find out about membership opportunities in the Lakes Region.

“The New Year is a great time to get motivated to further develop a business, and MicroCredit-NH’s resources are designed to meet a variety of small business needs,” said Claudia Needham, MicroCredit-NH’s East Central Regional Manager. “Our mission is to increase the income and stability of small businesses, and we welcome anyone interested in starting or growing a business to learn more about the program with our free orientations.”

To register for the orientation, contact Claudia Needham at 620-5709. For more information about MicroCredit-NH and its statewide business events, visit www.microcreditnh.org.
