Proctor's Cottages and Turnkey PMC to host Business After Hours

Proctor’s Lakehouse Cottages and Turnkey Project Management and Construction will be co-hosting the Greater Laconia/Weirs Beach Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event on Wednesday, June 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Proctor’s newly renovated (by Turnkey) property at 1144 Weirs Blvd. in Weirs Beach.

Proctor’s is owned and operated by Maureen and Fred Clausen who have just started their seventh season in the hospitality business. Proctor’s is one of the few remaining “cottage colonies” on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee. There are 20 rental units spread along 350’ of beautiful sandy beach.

Each year has seen a series of upgrades to this long established family vacation spot: new color scheme, new

roofs, new kitchens, new bathrooms, new windows, air-conditioning and now a total renovation of the motel

building which was built in the 1950s. This remodeled building now contains 2 single room efficiencies, 2 two-room efficiencies and 2 two-bedroom efficiencies sleeping up to six people. These new efficiencies will be rented on a weekly rather than nightly basis.

The renovation project has been handled by Turnkey Construction. Phil Bourbeau of Gilford is the President of Turnkey Project Management & Construction, established in June of 2002.
