Each palette is more beautiful than the next. The styles are equally varied.
Artistic Roots (AR) is a non-profit artisans' cooperative, located on Main Street in Plymouth. The gallery showcases unique fine arts and crafts made by local artists. The mission of AR is to encourage the appreciation and participation in the Arts by supporting local artists and offering classes to the surrounding community. Artistic Roots provides a unique opportunity for local artists to be involved in an artistic group and to display and sell their work. Open Table Classes, free to the public, give people of all ages and abilities a chance to learn a new craft or skill in the arts. Additionally, the gallery offers variety of classes including photography, jewelry making, fused glass, mosaics and painting. The gallery is currently developing a large teaching center to offer a more diverse choice of classes.
In order to maintain the gallery and support other non-profit organizations in Plymouth, the gallery conducts three fundraising events throughout the year. The Souper Bowl, in its 10th year, and the 4th Annual Spring Plant Sale and the Palette Creation is the final fundraiser of the year. Members believe in giving back to the community and a percentage of the fundraising has been shared with the Community Closet. AR to date has raised over $600 which was donated to the food pantry at Community Closet. This fundraiser will benefit "Keep the Heat On". Help support the arts and those in need by attending the Auction on October 23rd.
