LACONIA — The 19th Annual Tree and Shrub Sale is underway and the Belknap County Conservation District is now taking orders.

This year’s selection includes ten varieties of evergreen, 26 varieties of plants to provide food and shelter to wildlife, 39 fruit and vegetable producing varieties, and hardware such as rain barrels and composters.

The majority of plants are sold bareroot, meaning they are not packed in soil, and will have been kept in cold storage until pick-up. Selling plants this way keeps prices reasonable; however, plants will need time to leaf out once they are put in the ground.

All purchases will help support Belknap County-based conservation efforts and community projects. For more information, call 527-5880 or visit www.belknapccd.org.
