GILFORD — There will be a book sale and a pie and ice cream sale during Gilford Old Home Day at the Gilford Public Library. The sales are conducted by the Friends of the Gilford Public Library and all proceeds will be donated to the library by the Friends to support materials and programs like the Summer Reading Program. The sales will be conducted between 4 and 7 p.m.on Friday, Aug. 26, and between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27, with pies being available after the parade on Saturday.

The pies and books are donated by the local community and the ice cream is donated by Sawyer's Dairy Bar. The Friends are looking for more volunteers to help with the sales—interested participants may sign up for time spots by contacting the Gilford Public Library Circulation Desk. Contact the Gilford Public Library at library@gilfordlibrary.org, call 524-6042, or text 367-0264 with any questions.
