Meredith movie theater hosting magic shows on Saturday mornings

New Hampshire Magician BJ Hickman opened to a tremendous trial sneak preview recently at Barnz’s Meredith Cinema, in the Meredith Shopping Plaza on Route 25.

Barnz’s owner and operator Timothy Barnes recently purchased Meredith Cinema from Spinelli Cinemas where he was the director of operations for 14 years. According to Barnes, “In addition to first run movies in our comfortable three-screen cinema, I thought offering BJ’s live magic show would give local area residents and vacationers a nice option to do as a family. BJ’s show has a nice blend of magic, silliness, and audience participation. Children of all ages have a great time.”

Tickets for two summer dates, Saturday, July 26 and Saturday, August 9 are still available. Tickets are $7 for all, general admission, and include a “2 for 1” movie ticket. Show-time is 11:30 a.m. on both of these dates.

Magician BJ Hickman entertains family audiences primarily throughout New England. The success of three instructional videotapes has earned him invitations to lecture at conferences and conventions for colleagues. In recent years, he has taken his experience to the domain of speaking for various groups. In his humorous keynote presentation or workshop, "PediaTRICKS.com," he instructs children's health care professionals about keeping patients comfortable and relaxed in the doctor’s office. He also works with teachers with his professional development in-service, “The Inventive Teacher.”
