MEREDITH — The next AARP Mature Driver Safety Program in Meredith is scheduled to take place Wednesday, June 24, at the Meredith Community Center.
The class will consists of two three-hour sessions: 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m.
The classroom experience emphasizes defensive driving techniques, including new traffic laws and rules of the road. It points out how to adjust driving to age-related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time.
There is no test. Those completing the course receive a certificate making them eligible for insurance discounts from certain insurance companies serving New Hampshire.
The fee for the course is $15 for AARP members and $20 for others.
