Local opera company holding auditions for 'The Constitution Express' on Sunday

The Lakes Region Opera Company will be holding open auditions on Sunday, August 30 for singers and actors of all ages to perform in a new musical production of “The Constitution Express”.

“This production is a wonderful opportunity for community members to bring their talents to area stages”, says Jane Cormier, Director of Lakes Region Opera. “The Constitution Express needs people with energy and talent to bring our story of the writing of the U.S. Constitution to life. Art is a wonderful medium with its ability to entertain and educate. People of all ages should be able to enjoy this production, both through the theatrical telling and the story itself ”, says Cormier, who has also authored the production.

“The Constitution Express” will reenact famous writings and speeches of the Revolutionary War period, offering dramatic vignettes and period musical selections to bring the story of the U. S. Constitution to life.

Auditions will he held at 4 p.m. at the Farmington Town Hall.

“This production will tour to several locations throughout New Hampshire and perhaps beyond. We hope many people will join us at our open auditions”, says Cormier.
