LACONIA — On Monday, March 28 at 6 p.m. the Laconia Public Library will host a Wine Glass Painting Workshop. No previous experience is necessary for this free program, but people should register in advance by calling the Library at 524-4775 ext. 12.

On Tuesday, March 29 at 7 p.m. Master Gardeners Ana Gourlay and Nel Garden will present Gardening with Native Plants. If you're looking to reduce yard maintenance or create a natural habitat for local wildlife, look no further than native plants. It has taken more than 10,000 years since the end of the last ice age for our native plant communities to develop. For this reason alone native plants are as much a part of what makes New Hampshire unique as our mountains, lakes, rivers, and coastline.
