LACONIA — Lakes Region Community College (LRCC) Marine Technology student, Charles "Chet" Tasse received the President's Award of Excellence from LRCC Marine Technology Professor, Jake Marsh during the College's Awards Banquet recently. Tasse was the top Marine student at LRCC for two years in a row.

"Chet has become a real asset to the marine trade," says Professor Marsh. "He is hard working, extremely knowledgeable in his craft, and is a real team player. Chet will be successful in his new full-time position at Lakeport Landing Marina."

Tess earned his Bachelor's Degree from University of New Hampshire- Durham before coming to LRCC to study Marine Technology. "Once Chet got a taste of becoming a marine technician, he exceeded Marine faculty's expectations in every way," continues Marsh. "Chet is the model student for LRCC's Marine Program."
