Stuart C. Johnson of Laconia was one of 387 seniors to receive bachelors degrees during the 104th commencement ceremony at Bates College on May 28.
Johnson graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in Chinese. A member of the sailing team, he volunteered with Bates Emergency Medical Services and studied in China during the fall semester of his sophomore year and the winter semester of his junior year.
A 2002 graduate of Laconia High School, he is the son of Mark Johnson and Norma Jo Sorman.
