SUNAPEE — Charlotte Cox of Laconia won second place in the adult division at the 7th Annual Poetry Contest held by the Literary Arts Guild of the Center for the Arts, Lake Sunapee Region. Winners were announced at a reception in their honor held in the Newbury Town Hall on Friday, April 6. Cox's piece was titled "Touching at the Edges."

Writing on the theme "Two," 33 poets, from as far away as Maryland, contributed their work, which was judged by New Hampshire poet Jennifer Militello. Militello also handed out the awards at the reception and commented enthusiastically about the quality of the entries.
