LACONIA — Iconic blues/rock players James Montgomery and Barry Goudreau will join the Nor'Easters at Pitman's Freight Room in Laconia on Friday, Dec. 18.

A vital presence on the blues scene, Montgomery has been fronting the James Montgomery Band for over 30 years, as well as sitting in with greats like Gregg Allman, The Rolling Stones, and Johnny Winter. His inimitable harmonica playing commands a wide range of electric and acoustic harmonica tunes.

Barry Goudreau was an original member of the band Boston, playing guitar and backing vocals for its huge debut and follow up releases that sold over 24 million records.

Local guitarist Chuck Farrell, with the Nor'Easters, will blend the evening's entertainment package into perfection. He got his start playing in the folk scene on the Seacoast in the mid 80s but it was in the San Francisco Bay Area throughout the 90s and early 2000 that he really "cut his teeth" in music.

The opening band is Big Medicine from Wolfeboro, another combination of awesome local talent, who really know how to get the audience up on the dance floor.

Doors open at 7 p.m. with the opening band starting at 8. Seating is general admission and BYOB. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Reserve your place by calling Pitman's at 527-0043.

If you can't catch this show, join the same line up with added guest artist Charlie Farren, of Joe Perry Project/Fahrenheit renown, at the Abenaki Trail in North Conway the following evening. The doors open at 7 p.m., with the show beginning at 8. Tickets are $25 for table seating and can be purchased by calling Abenaki Trail at 356-6565, the Tamworth Lyceum at 323-5120 or the North Conway Music Shop at 356-3562.
