Inter-Lakes High School teacher Laura Brusseau will join 12 teachers from across the country to help build a home in Tacoma, Washington as a part of Habitat for Humanity International’s “Teacher Fellows” program.

“I am so excited to spend part of my summer break volunteering with Habitat,” said Brusseau about the program that provides teachers with an opportunity to build with Habitat, learn about the local community, and explore educational resources that Habitat provides. “Not only do I get the wonderful experience of helping a family build their new home, I also get to meet new peers from all over the nation.”

Brusseau co-founded the Faith, Hope, and Love Foundation, a non profit to help at-risk children and youth and volunteers with the Plymouth State Alumni Association, New Beginnings, and Girl Scouts of America.
