The annual holiday fair at Sanbornton Congregational Church will begin on Friday, Dec. 1, from 5 to 8 p.m. A traditional New England supper will be served from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Prices are $7 for adults, $3 for children under 12; children under five eat free.
The fair will continue on Saturday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. with the shopper’s breakfast served to 11:30 a.m. offering three full breakfasts or a wrapped breakfast sandwich to go. The hearty breakfasts start with fresh orange juice followed by eggs cooked to order, broccoli cheese quiche or french toast with maple syrup, accompanied by bacon, home fries, muffins or toast and coffee or tea. The sandwich is egg, cheese and bacon on an English muffin and coffee or tea. Prices are $3 for the sandwich and from $5.25 to $6.50 for the full breakfasts.
Shop for holiday gifts, including hand knit hats and mittens for toddlers and more. Look for bargains at the book table. The children’s table will have an assortment of toys, games and stuffed animals at modest prices. There are always surprises at the silent auction. Choose something from the bake table to take with you: homemade breads and sticky buns, cakes, pies, fudge brownies, shortbread, cookies, candies and other treats. The church is at 21 Meetinghouse Hill Road in Sanbornton, off Route 132 in Sanbornton Square.
