High Range will perform on Thursday, July 27, 6:30 p.m. at Rotary Riverside Park next to the Historic Belknap Mill As part of the Riverside Concert Series.
A dynamic acoustic band that blends folk and bluegrass to create a unique and fresh sound of their own, High Range performs a number of original songs with a variety of traditional favorites. The four members perform on mandolin, fiddle, upright bass, guitar and banjo with three part harmonies.
Their debut CD, Screamin’ Down the Valley, with 13 original compositions, received inspiring reviews in Bluegrass Unlimited, Dirty Linen, Jam Music Magazine and Northeast Performer.
In the spring of 2003 they released their second CD, Beyond The Foothills, which has been getting excellent reviews from the music press.
The concert is free and open to the public.
Laconia Rotary Club is sponsor. Laconia Rotary Club, which meets weekly at the Historic Belknap Mill, led the campaign to create the park and raised the funds for the bandstand. The Rotary continues to maintain the bandstand, pay for the electricity in the bandstand, and support the park's landscaping.
The City of Laconia owns and maintains the park.
