MEREDITH — Hermit Woods is encouraging guests to bring an offering of food for the Meredith Emergency Food Pantry on their visit to the winery during the weekend after Thanksgiving, November 27-29. Guests who bring food will be offered 25 percent off the purchase of a case of wine, said Bob Manley, one of the partners at Hermit Woods. He went on to say, "however, whether or not you are interested in buying wine, we would really appreciate any help you can offer. Hermit Woods will match any offer of food made over this weekend."

Hermit Woods and The Bread Peddler in Sanbornton have been offering their left over bread to the Meredith Pantry every week throughout the summer. The Bread Peddler has been baking artisan bread, gluten free bread, bialys, and baguettes for Hermit Woods customers for over two years. "Although The Bread Peddlers bread has been a big hit with our local customers, we don't always sell every loaf. We are very pleased to be able to make this donation to the people in need in our community," said Manley.
