First United Methodist Church is excited to be hosting the Halos Honor Choir from Dove of the Desert United Methodist Church in Arizona who will be performing a “Pops” Concert on Sunday July 13 at 3 p.m. in the Sanctuary. The choir is comprised of 21 high school aged students and includes one college student. They will be giving concerts throughout New England starting here in the Lakes Region.

The music literature that they will perform is entirely made up of “Pop” music. Some of their songs include: “You Can’t Stop the Beat” from the musical Hairspray, “You’re the One That I Want” from the move Grease, “You Raise Me Up,” made famous by Josh Groban, “What a Wonderful World,” made famous by Louis Armstrong, “It Don’t Mean a Thing if it Ain’t Got That Sing, Sing, Sing,” a very energetic swing tune—plus several other songs including a gigantic Disney audience participation medley.

There will be no admission charge but donations will be gratefully accepted.
