Granite State Glass recently purchased the 83,750 square foot industrial building at 4 Aviation Drive, near the Laconia Airport terminal. The building, formerly occupied by Molex Corporation, will be home to the company's corporate offices and to the commercial fabrication segment of its business.
“The new facility will provide GSG with much needed space in order to serve our commercial clients more efficiently and provide us the opportunity to expand supplier relationships to the next level,” said Bill Marcotte, president of Granite State Glass. “The bottom line will be an increase in productivity coupled with the best possible product for our customer base. We’re excited about the new building and hope to complete the move by December 1 of this year.”
The commercial segment of the business has been involved in many high profile projects including the window replacement of the Sherman Adams Summit Building on Mount Washington, the Horseshoe Pond complex in Concord, the Langdon Woods dormitory on the campus of Plymouth State University, and the Dudley Davis Center on the University of Vermont campus.
The Granite State Glass retail location at 166 South Main Street in Laconia will continue to serve clients with auto glass or residential needs.
As for the existing Granite State Glass corporate offices and commercial fabrication facility of 20,000 square feet located at 201 Daniel Webster Highway in Belmont, Marcotte said, “There are no immediate plans for the building. We’ll get settled in the new building and then evaluate our options at that time.”
Granite State Glass is comprised of ten full service locations serving the automotive, home, and business needs of New Hampshire and Vermont. Incorporated in 1984, Granite State Glass has been named to the “Best Companies To Work For In The Industry” on four separate occasions by US Glass magazine, the industry’s largest publication.
