LACONIA — Girls between the ages of 5-17 who sign up before August 15 with the Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains for the new Girl Scout year starting in October will enjoy Girl Scouting for the rest of the 2012 year free.
Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains offers more than 100 programs for girls; registration is $12 a year. Through Girl Scouting, girls discover themselves and their values, connect with others, and take action to make the world a better place.
Adults are also needed. Volunteers receive training and learn marketable skills, make new friends and make a difference in girls' lives. See www.girlscoutsgwm.org and click on Volunteer to see the many opportunities available.
Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains serves more than 15,600 girls in New Hampshire and Vermont, thanks to 5,300 trained and dedicated volunteers.
To take advantage of the offer before August 15, email helpdesk@girlscoutsgwm.org.
